Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
- A valid teaching certification or licensure for early childhood education.
- Prior experience working with preschool-aged children, preferably in a Head Start or similar program.
- A strong understanding of early childhood development principles and curriculum standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively with families, staff, and community partners.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to early childhood education.
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with Head Start curriculum standards.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and engaging classroom environment that promotes learning and development.
- Observe, assess, and document children's progress and communicate findings with families and team members.
- Foster positive relationships with children, families, and community partners.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and coordinate classroom activities and school events.
- Ensure compliance with Head Start program policies, state regulations, and licensing requirements.
- Support the social-emotional development of children and address individual needs.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and other required documentation.
