Responsibilities
  • Identify, root cause and solve product introduction problems on new and existing products
  • Tour the production line daily to understand blockers and inefficiencies
  • Create and submit Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and Deviations to quickly unblock the production and sourcing teams
  • Maintain the CAD model to match all needed changes
  • Organize, plan for and present progress on changes to peers and management
Desired Qualifications
  • BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • 5+ of relevant experience in NPI or Sustaining roles
  • Proficient in Arena or equivalent PLM system (Windchill, Team Center, etc.)
  • Basic experience with CATIA or equivalent (NX, Solidworks, etc.)
  • Experience in design for mass production of multi-part products and assemblies [DFM, DFA]
  • Plastic, sheet metal, and cast part design and materials knowledge
  • Proficient in GD&T and TSA
  • Experience transitioning early designs to production [NPI, EVT, DVT]
  • Familiarity with electro-mechanical actuators and sensors
  • Working experience with quality processes and systems (process control, 8D and other RCCA frameworks, etc
