Financial Systems Analyst

Job Description

The Red Gate Group is seeking a Financial Systems Help Desk Analyst to support the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). In this role, you will serve as the first line of support for financial systems users, helping to troubleshoot issues, resolve errors, and provide guidance on system functionality. You will also assist in testing upgrades, maintaining documentation, and ensuring compliance with audit and reporting requirements.

This position combines strong technical knowledge of federal financial systems with a customer service–oriented approach to help end-users resolve challenges and optimize the use of Momentum Financials and related tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide help desk support for NGA financial system users, answering questions, resolving issues, and escalating complex problems as needed.
• Troubleshoot and resolve common issues including SF-133 discrepancies, 1099 processing errors, and reporting anomalies.
• Guide users through corrective actions related to audit findings and help implement solutions.
• Support testing of system enhancements, upgrades, and patches to ensure smooth transitions for end-users.
• Develop and maintain user guides, FAQs, training materials, and business process documentation to improve customer self-service.
• Create and run SQL queries and VBA scripts to assist in troubleshooting and data validation.
• Partner with stakeholders to document requirements, support corrective action plans, and ensure compliance with federal financial standards.
• Participate in meetings, milestone reviews, and system certifications as part of the financial systems support team.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Economics, or related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications such as CISA, CGFM, PMP.
• Experience with Momentum system administration and acquisition modules.
• Familiarity with Cognos, TM-I, and interfacing with Momentum modules.
• Strong background in cost estimating and project management.
• 12+ years of federal financial management and systems analysis experience, including at least 8 years in specialized functions:
  • 2+ years supporting Momentum Financials upgrades/enhancements/implementations.
  • 2+ years supporting audit findings remediation and Corrective Action Plans (FI SCAM).
  • 2+ years developing and executing SQL and VBA scripts.
  • 2+ years in report testing or 1099 processing in line with IRS standards.
