Requirements
  • Minimum of 10 years of industrial or commercial plumbing experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, including submittals, specifications, drawings, and schedules.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
  • Ability to solve practical problems involving limited standardization.
  • Ability to interpret written, oral, diagrammatic, and schedule-based instructions.
  • Ability to apply probability, statistical inference, plane and solid geometry, trigonometry, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to perform the physical demands of the position, including standing, walking, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
  • OSHA 30 certification or training.
Responsibilities
  • Lead plumbing-trade work crews and provide their overall direction, coordination, and evaluation.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws, including training employees and planning, assigning, and directing work.
  • Monitor employee work for adherence to plans and specifications.
  • Perform pipe testing and complete the required documentation.
  • Read and understand submittals, specifications, and drawings.
  • Understand plumbing equipment and fixture details according to contract drawings and specifications.
  • Understand plumbing-system functions, including DWV, DHW, DCW, DHWR, DI, and storm systems.
  • Create as-built drawings.
  • Fit, cut, and install piping systems as a working foreman.
  • Chlorinate plumbing systems.
  • Lead and motivate a team of 12 people.
  • Follow company rules and regulations.
  • Use Stratus, ACC, Bluebeam, ACC Model Viewer, HH2, Egnyte, and company email.
  • Follow and promote a safety-first job site.
  • Understand and enforce the OPS system, including Tier Zero trackers and Tier 1 boards, and run or back up the Tier 1 board.
  • Lead development-plan meetings with lower-tier employees.
  • Coach and develop the team or crew.
