Requirements
  • Experience as chip lead for processor based digital products – preferably in nodes 16nm or below
  • Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering, with 15+ years of experience
  • Strong engineering background in embedded system design including SoC architecture, computer architecture, and custom or standard DSP
  • Experience working with geographically distributed design teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills both internally and interacting with customers
  • Experience with silicon and software product development, DFT flows, and overall product lifecycle.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with vertical market business unit and customers to scope, gather requirements, and define the product(s) specifications (hardware + software)
  • Own the delivery of multiple products over the full development cycle including feature exploration, architecture, design, verification, tape out, validation and ATE testing.
  • Provide technical leadership and make technical decisions on HW front-end, back-end, and post-silicon activities.
  • Plan chip development and align execution with program management, chip leads, and silicon development team.
  • Utilize and enhance best practices for processor development, including pre-silicon FPGA validation, System C modeling and drive successful execution for on-time and first-time-right silicon delivery.
  • Provide direction on evaluating and selecting IPs, including foundation IPs, and make buy or build decisions in collaboration with the architecture team
  • Contribute to applications, reference design and software strategy for each program, leveraging architecture and content and from across the portfolio.
  • Provide leadership in processor design methodologies.
  • Identify risks as well as risk mitigation strategies on projects.
