Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical field.
  • A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience, with experience in Quality/ Quality Management.
  • A minimum of 5 years of functional management and leadership experience.
  • Experience with technical and project management.
  • Earned Value Management experience.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: program / product lifecycle in the areas of new business pursuit, design, software, supply chain management, receiving operations, inventory control, production control, product test & evaluation, reliability, root cause analysis, product sell off, shipping and product support as they apply to quality.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance is required.
  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 / AS9100 Quality Management System certification process.
  • Knowledge of Naval specifications such as sub-safe and T9001B.
  • Master’s degree in engineering or technical field.
  • Lean / Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher) certification to drive continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with SAP, a plus with Quality & Mission Assurance transactions.
  • An active DoD Secret clearance with the ability to acquire a Top Secret clearance.
Responsibilities
  • Defines and monitors program specifications, quality metrics, audit metrics and processes to ensure mission success.
  • Promotes the professional development of the Quality & Mission Assurance workforce and fosters a collaborative culture that sustains the momentum around employee engagement and inclusion, affordability, innovation, value growth and continuous improvement.
  • Maintains the highest level of commitment to quality, compliance and internal controls in adherence to company values and ethics.
  • Provides clear assignments, helps employees connect their efforts to the organization’s strategy, creates an inclusive work environment characterized by mutual respect and the valuing of differences, and builds a culture that motivates employees to their highest levels of performance.
  • Assures compliance policies and procedures are strictly adhered to across all functions and all phases of the program life cycle.
  • Leverages comprehensive metrics, customer and employee feedback to assess program performance and risks and determines resources to ensure mission success.
  • Develops and manages budgets, schedules, and performance standards.
  • Responsible for the preparation of proposals for the Quality & Mission Assurance team.
  • Frequent interface with executives and customer representatives including on-site DCMA representatives concerning projects, operational decisions, scheduling requirements, and contractual clarifications.
  • Thought leader influencing and impacting strategy for the program and Quality & Mission Assurance organization while also driving innovative change.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing Capital Equipment, NCTA, and MTA plans for the department.
  • Regularly requires analysis of alternative courses of action for continued program quality.
