Requirements
  • Deep experience with big data solutions like Spark and Hadoop
  • Deep experience with AWS cloud services: S3, Data pipeline, Glue/EMR, Lambda, Aurora PostgresGCP cloud services
  • Experience with data analytics using tools like Databricks, Big Query, Athena, RedshiftSQL, database design/structures, ETL/ELT design patterns, and DataMart structures (snowflake schemas)
  • Experience with NoSQL DBs like Mongo, Document DB on cloud (AWS, GCP)
  • Experience with large scale database and data migrations to the cloud, especially at a very large enterprise with complex regulatory requirements
  • Experience with Data Proc, Dataflow, Cloud Functions, Big Query, Cloud SQL Postgres
  • Experience with on premise services / Databases - Oracle, MongoDB, Teradata, BigData/Hadoop
  • Exposure to ML/AI
  • Professional experience in the banking, payments, or finTech sector(s)
Responsibilities
  • Act as an advisor to leadership to develop or influence on data strategy and data governance for highly complex business and technical needs
  • Build and standardize data governance frameworks, utilities and template
  • Define target state cloud data architecture patterns
  • Define Cloud DB infrastructure deployment patterns for both SQL and NoSQL DBs
  • Define schema and data migration patterns, approaches for migrating from on-prem to cloud databases
  • Design and build data pipelines
  • As a PO, work with different teams to capture their requirements and define/refine Epics/Stories
  • As a tech lead, mentor and guide other team members working on data engineering
