Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Sourcing)
  • Quality or manufacturing background
  • Knowledge of quality tools and ISO9001 QMS requirements
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Problem solving techniques
  • Ability to cope with multiple complex situations on a daily basis
Responsibilities
  • Support incoming inspection and/or production floor in returning defective material to the appropriate supplier
  • Write and/or disposition non-conforming material reports (NCR)
  • Maintain Return to Vendor
  • Providing guidance to suppliers to ensure product/process compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, Waygate quality requirements
  • Participate within MRB (Management Review Board) meetings
  • Execute supplier quality activities including issues resolution (SCAR), supplier qualifications (incl. use of ESQM tool), process control and quality assurance of purchased materials
  • Monitor and drive for Cost of Quality (COQ) reduction for supplier related defects
  • Work collaboratively with the Incoming Inspection quality teams
  • Assist with first piece qualifications
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding defective product
