Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • CPA license
  • 8+ years of progressive experience (with mix of public accounting firm and technology industry experience)
  • Expert level understanding of revenue accounting under ASC 606
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Prior people management experience (building out a revenue team)
  • Experience with NetSuite (including ARM), Salesforce, Stripe
  • Advanced knowledge working with Excel
  • Ability to work independently and balance multiple projects and processes simultaneously
  • Willingness to roll-up your sleeves when work needs to get done
  • Located in the SF Bay Area and willing to visit our Oakland office at least occasionally
Responsibilities
  • Overall ownership of the Order to Cash process
  • Provide business support to the Revenue organization
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to enhance existing operational processes
  • Partner with Deal Desk and Legal to develop policies and procedures
  • Partner with Deal Desk and Internal Tools to drive process automation efforts
  • Partner with Controller to improve financial close processes
  • US GAAP revenue recognition expert and partner with external audit firm
  • Assist Corporate Controller to manage sales tax compliance
  • Hire, manage, develop, and mentor team members
  • Other projects and job duties as required
