Requirements
  • 10+ years of M&A-focused experience with emphasis on due diligence and post-transaction activities like M&A integration, implementing partnerships, etc
  • Excellent analytical skills and the confidence to translate complex data into meaningful insights
  • The ability to prioritize effectively on projects and skills to adapt quickly to new challenges and concepts
  • Strong communication with the ability to thoughtfully present, inspire trust, and generate project enthusiasm
  • A high degree of professionalism and a strong level of comfort interacting with US and International C-level executives and business partners
  • Team player, flexible, adaptable, and willing to contribute wherever required in a small team environment
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams
  • A proven record of excellence in a mergers or acquisitions transactions role
  • Experience gained within another large professional service organization
  • A bachelor's degree from a top tier university, preferably with a Major in Business, Finance, Economics, Communications, or a related field
  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 40% on short notice
  • Experience working with geographically dispersed teams
  • Experience in the cannabis industry will be viewed favorably but is not required
Responsibilities
  • Work closely with key members of Curaleaf's M&A team to successfully complete the acquisition and integration of businesses by supporting the deal team throughout the due diligence, integration, and implementation phases of the process
  • Analyze financial and operational data to identifying key trends behind the performance of a business, discussing business performance, and forecast assumptions with senior executive management, and helping to write reports to relay findings and make recommendations around the key business issues in a transaction
  • Closely partner with senior executives and workstream leaders to architect integration strategies closely aligned with our operating model; drive timely and objective decision-making with sound advice and good judgment
  • Provide leadership and program management for the successful integration of all acquisitions, mergers, and divestitures
  • Define and lead multiple projects and maintain responsibility for project management, strategy development, implementation, and adoption for prospective and completed acquisitions
  • Facilitate weekly integration team meetings to ensure integrations are on-schedule and are targeted to achieve identified synergy savings opportunities
  • Partner cross-functionally with compliance, legal, finance, analytics, business, and product teams to interpret, communicate, and operationalize functional activities
  • Develop and maintain integration playbook (down to functional level) to ensure integrations are finalized on-time and on-target
  • Support the creation of executive-level analysis, briefings, & reports for internal and key stakeholders
  • Be accountable for on-time delivery and project completion of plans while identifying and resolving roadblocks for overall M&A integration strategy success
  • Stay current in integration thought leadership and best practices to maintain cutting-edge M&A integration capabilities
