  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • College coursework in a related field is helpful.
  • Experience in a hotel or related field is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Windows, company-approved spreadsheets, and word-processing software is required.
  • Ability to work long hours when required.
  • Ability to perform light work, including occasionally exerting up to 20 pounds of force and frequently or constantly exerting up to 10 pounds.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with employees and guests at all levels in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
  • Ability to listen to, understand, and clarify concerns raised by employees and guests.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to attend required hotel meetings and trainings.
  • Ability to participate in manager-on-duty coverage as required.
  • Ability to maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing nametags.
  • Ability to comply with InnVentures standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Ability to maximize productivity, identify problem areas, and assist with implementing solutions.
  • Ability to handle problems by anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving them as necessary.
  • Ability to understand and evaluate complex information and data from various sources to meet appropriate objectives.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
Responsibilities
  • Solicit, negotiate, and book new business through proactive direct sales efforts.
  • Build existing relationships to maintain and grow the current customer and account base.
  • Capture clients' vision and convey their needs and requests within the hotels.
  • Respond to client inquiries, requests, and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Develop rapport with key industry players in the community, including the local Convention and Visitors Bureau.
  • Meet or exceed weekly sales call goals to maintain the sales pipeline.
  • Participate in weekly sales meetings, record and act on future traces for accounts, customers, and events, write action plans, and prepare the annual marketing plan.
  • Support hotel goals through teamwork and collaboration with all departments.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.
