- High School Graduate or GED
- Minimum of one year experience in food service or patient care
- College course work in clinical nutrition or nutrition therapy may be substituted for work experience
- Assist patients with menu selection
- Ensure patients receive meals and nourishments in accordance with diet prescriptions and individual preferences
- Screen patients for nutritional risk
- Take patient food orders over the phone and enter them into MICROS
- Update patient information in GemServe as required
- Correct menu choices under supervision
- Alert the supervisor and clinical nutrition staff to any patient issues
- Serve patient trays and nourishments
