- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- A valid Class 1A driver's license, with a copy submitted with the application; otherwise, qualified applicants must obtain the license before the probationary period expires.
- Two years of work experience within the last five years operating a variety of construction or industrial equipment, such as haul trucks, backhoes, excavators, trenchers, or side booms.
- Physical fitness documented by a physician's certificate recognizing the job requirement.
- Ability to work in a safety-sensitive position subject to the Drug and Alcohol Policy.
- Ability to travel significantly, including overnight stays away from bid headquarters, work extended hours, and respond to standby and call-out situations.
- Operate truck and trailer vehicles, including boom trucks, highway tractors, highboy or lowboy trailers, and hydro-vac equipment, to transport equipment and materials.
- Load and unload construction equipment and related materials.
- Operate construction equipment, including backhoes, excavators, trenchers, and side booms, for installing, servicing, maintaining, and repairing natural gas systems.
- Maintain and service construction equipment and truck and trailer vehicles to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Perform construction duties including trenching, backfilling, installing and repairing steel and polyethylene pipe, cutting, coating and wrapping steel pipe, cutting and fusing polyethylene pipe, tapping distribution mains, pipe fitting, assembling and disassembling mechanical components, high-pressure tapping, hand shoveling, raking, sweeping, priming and painting, landscaping, rough carpentry, and cement work.
- Plan safe work procedures and take precautions to protect employees and the public while following safety policies and procedures.
- Participate in incident prevention, hazard assessments, and hazard and incident reporting.
- Keep workshops and worksites clean, organized, and free from unnecessary hazards.
- Complete permits, pre-trip inspections, logbooks, power mobile equipment inspections, transport documents, hazard assessments, and material management reconciliations.
- Complete basic survey and as-built requirements and document changes on engineering diagrams.
- Stay informed about and comply with changing Department of Transportation regulations and Highway Acts and amendments.
- Perform manual construction work before progressing into equipment operation as part of the employer's training and qualification process.

SaskEnergy announces Kevin Adair as President and Chief Executive Officer. Published Date Aug 6, 2026 SaskEnergy is pleased to announce that after an extensive search, Kevin Adair has been named President and Chief Executive Officer, effective August 17. "Kevin has significant experience within both the public and private sectors, and it was clear to the Board that he is the right person to lead SaskEnergy," said Susan Barber, Chair of SaskEnergy's Board of Directors. "He is a strategic and people-focused leader who inspires those around him and has demonstrated a strong commitment to SaskEnergy's employees, customers, and future success." Since launching his career with SaskTel in 1999, Adair has established a strong track record of leadership and operational expertise. He has held senior executive positions in the agricultural and communications technology industries, including the role of Vice President of Customer Services - Operations of SaskTel. Adair currently serves as Executive Vice President, Customer Service Operations with SaskEnergy and has held that position since joining the Crown corporation in 2021. In this role, he has been instrumental in advancing SaskEnergy's strategic priorities and delivering value to customers across Saskatchewan. "Kevin's leadership experience and commitment to SaskEnergy make him exceptionally well suited for the role of President and Chief Executive Officer," said Jeremy Harrison, Minister Responsible for SaskEnergy. SaskEnergy President and CEO Mark Guillet announces retirement. 57 seconds ago 2 minutes read Following a 36-year career with SaskEnergy, President and CEO Mark Guillet is retiring effective July 15, 2026. Guillet joined SaskEnergy's Legal department in 1990. Through his leadership and commitment to the company, he joined SaskEnergy's Executive team in 1995, when he was appointed General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. In 2020, Guillet's portfolio expanded as he became Executive Vice President of Stakeholder Engagement, Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary. This role positioned him with a cross-section of responsibility, including: SaskEnergy's Legal and Regulatory Compliance, Environment, Indigenous & Community Engagement, Communications, and Land functions. He also served as the Corporation's Chief Privacy Officer. In February 2022, Guillet was appointed as SaskEnergy's Acting President and CEO, and was formally named President and CEO in May 2023. He has led with a spirit of collaboration, openness, and recognition of the efforts made by SaskEnergy's employees across Saskatchewan. Throughout his tenure as President and CEO, Guillet has contributed significantly to SaskEnergy's ongoing success. In 2023, the organization designed and developed an Indigenous Roadmap, establishing a clear path forward for meaningful relationships and impactful engagement with Indigenous communities.
