Requirements
  • Post-secondary diploma/degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience designing, developing, delivering and evaluating learning and development programs is required
  • Professional Instructional Design/Training Certificate or CTDP designation is an asset
  • Advanced working knowledge of Camtasia, Storyline or other eLearning authoring tools
  • Advanced experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and G Suite
  • Passion for teaching, motivating and coaching, with the ability to create and sustain strong working partnerships with all stakeholders across the organization
  • Excellent organizational skills, high attention to quality, detail and accuracy, combined with the ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to embrace and champion change at short notice
  • Absolute Team player - High energy, enthusiasm & proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to train different audiences effectively
  • Strong project management skills; able to identify needs, develop effective solutions and manage projects through to completion

  • Experience with graphic design and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro etc.) is an asset

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop creative, high-quality, interactive learning content for remote and classroom training including lesson plans, facilitator guides, participant materials, videos, practical exercises, engaging activities, training handouts, interactive eLearning and evaluations
  • Deliver and facilitate training via live classroom, onsite training, web/video conference and one-on-one training
  • Develop the infrastructure for L&D programs by establishing standardized methods, tools and templates for assessment, design, development, implementation, evaluation and reporting for a range of delivery platforms (e.g. workshops, self-paced web, synchronous online, and blended learning).Provide L&D consulting to the business in order to assess, design, develop and implement effective training in alignment with Geotab's strategy and learning standards
  • Support the implementation of the evaluation strategy to ensure a data-driven approach to improving the orientation and leadership development programs
  • Lead the continuous improvement and engagement of our LMS learning modules, ensuring that the system continues to address business needs
  • For all training programs and interventions, develop reports to track interactivity and completion, and utilize criteria and metrics to evaluate efficacy
  • Provide follow-up coaching, ongoing support and refresher training as required
  • Ensure all recurring learning programs are updated on a regular basis to encompass program, product, service delivery, procedural and technology changes
  • Solid knowledge of best practices in adult learning and technology-based learning with the ability to link knowledge transfer with desired business outcomes
  • Work with tight deadlines and provide valuable input on projects to enhance and customize training processes that exceed operational needs
  • Develop effective project plans to facilitate the building of learning programs and curriculum to close gaps identified
  • Provides advice and guidance to business groups on design challenges, assesses performance gaps and recommends solutions on principles, programs, approaches, and mediums
  • Create instructional materials (e-learning, videos, software tutorials, user guides, job aids, audio and video scripts, storyboards, assessments, etc.) that transform technical information into professionally written, engaging instruction
  • Knowledge of instructional systems design methodology, rapid design/development methodologies, adult learning theory, research methodology, and assessment tools
