Requirements
  • At least 10 years of engineering experience, including at least 5 years in senior technical leadership at scale-ups or high-growth companies.
  • Demonstrated experience building and operating multi-agent artificial intelligence systems in production rather than prototype or research contexts.
  • Deep backend and distributed systems expertise, including event streaming, microservices, application programming interface design, database scaling, and observability stacks.
  • Experience operating artificial intelligence systems in regulated or high-stakes commercial environments where model behavior has financial or operational consequences.
  • A track record of scaling engineering teams from 10 to more than 30 people, including developing internal technical leadership.
  • Familiarity with fintech infrastructure such as credit systems, payment flows, or embedded finance.
  • Experience designing and governing hybrid engineering models with external delivery partners.
  • Strong understanding of large language model selection, fine-tuning, and evaluation, including when to use a foundation model, fine-tune a model, or build another solution.
  • Hands-on familiarity with agentic frameworks such as LangGraph, custom orchestration, or equivalent, including their production failure modes.
  • Architectural fluency in streaming data, real-time inference, and feature engineering for production machine learning systems.
  • Understanding of artificial intelligence system reliability, including rate limits, fallback strategies, latency budgets, cost modeling, and evaluation pipelines.
Responsibilities
  • Design a modular, event-driven multi-agent framework with well-defined agent scopes, shared memory, and coordinated execution.
  • Develop tool-augmented, stateful agents that reason over real-time market data, inventory positions, credit exposure, and logistics constraints.
  • Architect feedback loops that learn from trade outcomes, pricing performance, and fulfillment results using reinforcement signals and structured fine-tuning where appropriate.
  • Build observability and evaluation infrastructure that makes agent behavior auditable, debuggable, and improvable.
  • Ensure the architecture is model-agnostic and not structurally dependent on a single foundation model provider.
  • Architect algorithmic working-capital allocation, including real-time credit-limit management, dynamic exposure modeling, and automated financing triggers embedded into trade execution.
  • Design artificial-intelligence-driven credit-risk assessment that continuously processes counterparty signals, transaction history, and market conditions.
  • Integrate liquidity and margin optimization into trade decisions.
  • Build compliance and auditability infrastructure that meets regulatory requirements for financial products operating across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Scale a high-performance engineering organization that ships with discipline and speed.
  • Develop a senior technical leadership layer in which leaders own architectural domains.
  • Establish governance frameworks for outsourced engineering, including quality gates, integration standards, code-review requirements, and security baselines.
  • Introduce clear ownership models for systems, incidents, and architectural decisions.
  • Build an engineering culture that treats production reliability, evaluation rigor, and system observability as professional norms.
  • Hire selectively and precisely, focusing on high-leverage additions rather than broad headcount growth.
  • Communicate the technical roadmap at leadership and board level, including trade-off framing and risk visibility.
Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarity with fintech infrastructure, including credit systems, payment flows, or embedded finance.

A11 embeds its team of experienced operators into fast-growing tech companies to act as an external operations team that drives internal growth. By working alongside founders and business leaders, A11 helps scale various functions from within the client organization, using hands-on, in-house leadership to accelerate expansion. The product works by integrating its operators into the client’s teams, taking on operational roles and driving change across functions such as growth, product, and operations, effectively serving as interim management and growth consulting. What sets A11 apart from competitors is its bench of operators who have already scaled companies to billion-dollar valuations and its ability to embed deeply into a company’s day-to-day operations, rather than offering purely advisory services. Its goal is to help founders navigate rapid growth, optimize scaling processes, and build the operational capabilities needed to achieve large-scale success.

What believers are saying

  • A11’s Berlin recruiting stayed hot, with 45-plus live roles in September 2026.
  • ARX Robotics raised a €42 million Series A after A11 built its team.
  • Trade Republic launched new trading technology in July 2026, sustaining A11 relevance.

What critics are saying

  • Clients internalize A11’s playbook, shrinking recurring demand by 2027.
  • A11 still depends on founder-led relationships, especially Jan Miczaika and Moritz Claussen.
  • Losing Trade Republic or Sennder would break the reference flywheel and threaten viability.

What makes A11 unique

  • Jan Miczaika and Moritz Claussen bring Wooga and cargo.one scaling credibility.
  • A11 embeds operators directly inside clients, not an external slide-deck consultancy.
  • Public proof points include Trade Republic, Sennder, and ARX Robotics team builds.
