Requirements
  • Current Texas State License as an Occupational Therapist.
Responsibilities
  • Provide direct therapy services within a clinic-based environment.
  • Work closely with behavior analysts, speech-language pathologists, and families to provide therapeutic care.
  • Perform clinical assessments, identify patient needs, and establish developmental goals.
  • Document, prepare or revise, and complete Plans of Care, progress notes, and other clinical records on an ongoing basis.
  • Assess and facilitate range of motion, strength, coordination, adaptive-equipment and environmental-modification needs, functional mobility, and safety issues related to activities of daily living performance.
  • Implement, monitor, collect, and evaluate data.
  • Evaluate treatment efficiency.
  • Demonstrate professional behavior.
  • Apply crisis-intervention competence.
  • Facilitate effective training for parents and staff.
  • Provide 1:1 occupational therapy sessions lasting 30 minutes.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
Desired Qualifications
  • Two years of direct service work in a treatment setting for patients.
  • Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
