Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Industry experience with graphics and compute development.
  • Deep understanding of modern GPU APIs such as Vulkan, Metal, DirectX, CUDA, and SYCL.
  • Extensive experience developing GPU graphics and compute applications and writing graphics and compute shaders.
  • Strong proficiency in C and C++ programming.
  • Experience with code analysis, intermediate representation technologies including LLVM, MLIR, and ISPC, and LLVM and GCC internals.
  • Demonstrated ability to ship high-quality production software.
  • Experience with technical leadership.
Responsibilities
  • Develop a high-performance host-side driver stack layering industry-standard graphics and compute APIs such as Vulkan, OpenGL, OpenCL, and SYCL on top of the proprietary API for the RISC-V GPU architecture.
  • Use and contribute to open-source initiatives such as Mesa.
  • Coordinate with the GPU Driver team to implement functionality required by industry-standard APIs within the proprietary GPU driver.
  • Participate in Khronos and other industry standards groups to develop standards extensions that benefit the GPU.
  • Run test suites such as Khronos Conformance Test Suite to evaluate conformance to industry standards.
  • Develop a toolchain for development, optimization, and debugging.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with the open-source Mesa framework.
  • Understanding and experience with RISC-V and vector processors.
  • Experience co-designing hardware architectures.
  • Understanding of path tracing and ray tracing.
