Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Build relationships with clients and client executive assistants.
  • Understand the business goals and objectives of each supported Partner and proactively help advance them.
  • Maintain and update contact lists and business activities in the customer relationship management database.
  • Track and maintain sales activity and pipeline for each Partner.
  • Identify clients who have not been contacted or require follow-up.
  • Execute requested follow-up calls for client mailings.
  • Assist the Marketing Department with coordinating customized mailings.
  • Prepare letters, proposals, and other documents using Oliver Wyman formatting styles.
  • Maintain Partner diaries and schedule internal and external meetings, communicating with clients and infrastructure staff as appropriate.
  • Identify opportunities to add internal and external meetings, including interviews, staff meetings, and follow-ups.
  • Assist with scheduling for complex projects as requested by the Partner or project team.
  • Coordinate travel and accommodations, including booking cars and rail tickets.
  • Develop an understanding of Partner scheduling and travel preferences.
  • Coordinate travel efficiently by grouping client meetings where possible.
  • Work with Human Capital to obtain work permits and visas.
  • Manage documents and project deliverables when requested.
  • Notify staffing and Practice Executive Assistants of extensions and renegotiations.
  • Manage the storage or disposal of confidential client information.
  • Act as the central point of contact for assigned Partner administrative needs and liaise with support departments as necessary.
  • Prepare weekly timesheets for each assigned Partner.
  • Prepare expense reports or delegate them to a team assistant when necessary.
  • Provide coverage for Executive Assistants who are out of the office.
  • Provide short-term coverage for Partners during Executive Assistant assignment transitions or when they are new to the Firm.
  • Provide training and support to new Executive Assistants.
  • Participate in team meetings and projects to improve processes and the overall performance of the Executive Assistant team.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience in financial services, management consultancy, or a professional services environment.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce.

US employers plan 3.2% merit pay rises for 2027 amid economic uncertainty

US employers plan to maintain moderate salary increases in 2027, according to Marsh's Mercer QuickPulse survey of 1,001 organisations. Base salary merit increases are projected at 3.2%, with total salary increases at 3.5%, marking four consecutive years of similar rates. Economic uncertainty continues influencing compensation decisions, with 57% of employers expecting at least moderate impact. High Tech (3.8%), Banking (3.7%), and Energy (3.6%) lead in merit budgets, whilst Consumer Goods (2.9%) and Healthcare (3.0%) lag behind. Employers expect to promote 8.4% of their workforce in 2027, down from 8.6% in 2026. Off-cycle salary adjustments remain common, with 64% of organisations providing them. AI adoption in compensation planning is growing, with 70% of organisations reporting some automation, primarily for market pricing recommendations and benchmarking.

Marsh beats Q1 estimates with $7.6B revenue, $3.29 EPS as organic growth hits 5%

Earnings per share came in at $3.29, compared to $3.06 in the prior-year quarter, surpassing the consensus estimate of $3.21 by 2.46%. Key metrics showed mixed performance against analyst expectations. Consolidated organic revenue growth of 5% exceeded the 3.5% estimate, whilst consulting organic growth of 5% topped the 4.4% forecast. However, Guy Carpenter's organic growth of 2% fell short of the 4.2% estimate. Geographically, Marsh's EMEA division generated $1.21 billion in revenue, up 14.1% year-over-year and beating estimates. Mercer consulting revenue reached $1.66 billion, an 11% increase that surpassed the $1.58 billion consensus.
