Amentum is seeking a dynamic and innovative Electromagnetic Warfare Planner to provide research, analysis, and planning support to the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) Operations Directorate as part of a Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations Cell at Camp Smith, Hawaii.

You will aid senior-level strategic planning and briefings, including preparing formal papers and background information for USINDOPACOM senior leader consumption. You’ll also provide research and analysis of various pertinent national security policies, military strategies, vulnerability assessments, threat, and intelligence assessments. This position will identify operational areas of concern, inform planning efforts, and help develop new concepts and identify new capabilities for Electromagnetic Warfare.
The ever-increasing demands associated with a congested and contested electromagnetic environment requires strategic and operational partners who are properly postured to meet mission critical requirements. You will support innovative approaches to integrating partner nation capabilities as well as close coordination with Service Components, research labs, industry, OSD, and Joint Staff.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Aid senior-level strategic planning and briefings, including preparing formal papers and background information for USINDOPACOM senior leader consumption.
- Provide research and analysis of various EW related national security policies, military strategies, and capability integration that support USINDOPACOM operations and exercises.
- Utilize experience and knowledge to support Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO) focused on USINDOPACOM operations that will ensure freedom of action and mission assurance in all domains throughout the Indo-Pacific.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least 10 years of combined experience in Electromagnetic Warfare (EW) operations, capability development and/or policy.
- At least 3 years of experience at a Combatant Command or Service Component HQ.
- At least 3 years of experience in the Indo-Pacific Area of Operations.
- Familiar with USINDOPACOM Theater Campaign Plan (TCP), Deliberate and Crisis Action Plans, and Operations Plans (OPLANS).
- Experience in writing reports, graphics, and information papers.
- Experience analyzing operational data.
- Proficient at Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Must have an active Top-Secret clearance and be SCI eligible. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree and/or attendance at Service Command and General Staff College.
- Experience coordinating with other Department of Defense (DoD) entities, including the Joint Staff, the Office of the Secretary of Defense and USINDOPACOM’s Service Components as well as non-DoD organizations such as DHS and State Department.
- Graduate of Joint Electronic Warfare Theater Operations Course.
- Familiar with JEMSO applications and databases (FADE/MIST, CED, etc.)
The salary range for this position is $130K to $160K. (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
