Requirements
  • 14+ years of experience in Surface Warfare or DoD government or defense industry, including as an afloat Department Head
  • 2+ years of experience with coordinating, planning, or managing shipboard maintenance availabilities
  • Experience as a Chief Engineer afloat, Damage Control Assistant, Main Propulsion Assistant, Ship’s Maintenance and Materiel Officer, or Ship Supervisor
  • Ability to develop, produce, and present briefings, issue papers, presentations, and documents at the tactical through strategic levels at the General Officer or Flag Officer level
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years of experience on a major staff, including Echelon III or above, or equivalent Joint or Combatant Command staff
  • Experience with ship maintenance cycle processes
  • Experience in Navy requirements development and Navy Program Objective Memorandum (POM) processes
  • Experience in Surface Navy maintenance planning and maintenance management
  • Experience with NAVSEA
  • Master's degree
