The Design Release Engineer (Chassis) at ALTEN Technology USA is responsible for designing chassis and body structures using CAD tools, focusing on stamped and casted parts. This role involves evaluating the performance of mechanical assemblies, conducting component testing, and collaborating with suppliers to manage designs and ensure timely component deliveries. The position requires strong communication skills and a solid understanding of vehicle engineering and chassis systems.

Responsibilities
• Designing the chassis system using CAD tools.
,
• Focusing on stamped and casted parts related to chassis development.
,
• Evaluating static, dynamic, structural, and thermal-mechanical performances of mechanical assemblies.
,
• Conducting component testing and characterization, including developing innovative test methods and data analysis.
,
• Collaborating with suppliers to manage designs, design documents, and ensure component deliveries.
,
• Working with various teams for manufacturing, assembly, and operation.

Requirements
• 3+ years of mechanical design experience with at least 1 year of chassis or body structure experience.

• Proficiency in design using CAD tools such as CATIA V6 or CATIA V5 and experience with 2D drawings, including GD&T.

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (Master’s or PhD is a plus).

• Experience in vehicle engineering, chassis systems design, and component delivery.

• Understanding of hydraulic systems, sealing systems, electrical systems, and system architecture.

• Strong communication skills with peers, management, manufacturing, and suppliers.

• Knowledge of automotive program development/release process and long-term schedule planning.

Salary Range: $100,000-125,000
