Requirements
  • A High School Diploma or General Educational Development credential is required.
  • Graduate from a Patient Care Technician or Certified Nursing Assistant program, or have six months of direct patient experience, or complete at least one semester of clinical rotations in an accredited Nursing, Medical, or Health professions program that includes both didactic and clinical rotations.
  • Excellent communication skills are required.
  • Physical ability to move 50 pounds or more is required.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure all patients are seen in an expedient and timely manner in the examination rooms in the outpatient facility.
  • Assist with setting up and preparing patients and equipment for procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly environment in the area and clean the area after patient exams and procedures.
  • Check patient vital signs and document all intake information.
  • Enter patient information in the Electronic Medical Record system.
  • Review patient charts and ensure necessary paperwork is available for the physician and patients.
  • Collect urine samples.
  • Order supplies and equipment for patient procedures.
Desired Qualifications
  • Physician office experience.
  • Basic Life Support certification.
