Requirements
  • 15 years of leadership experience in the semiconductor industry with senior executive contacts at foundries and outsourced semiconductor assembly and test providers.
  • 15 years of experience in engineering, engineering management, commodity management, or supply chain management in technology, chip manufacturing, or a related industry.
  • 10 years of experience in the silicon lifecycle, specifically in high-volume customer-owned tooling models and packaging technologies.
  • 10 years of experience managing multi-billion-dollar silicon spend and negotiating multi-year supply agreements under pressure.
Responsibilities
  • Define and implement long-term strategic sourcing plans for specific products and commodities, including market analysis, risk assessment, supplier identification and qualification, and technology roadmapping.
  • Lead high-stakes negotiations with key suppliers and develop and manage complex contractual agreements covering pricing, capacity, quality, and service-level agreements.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators for strategic suppliers, manage supplier performance, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and foster collaborative supplier relationships.
  • Lead strategic foundry and node alignment through direct partnerships with Tier-1 foundries.
  • Act as the primary executive-level interface with Tier-1 foundries.
  • Execute long-range planning and capacity reservation agreements to ensure multi-year silicon demand is met with guaranteed supply.
  • Leverage technical-commercial roadmaps to influence partners' research and development cycles and secure early access to sub-2-nanometer nodes and customized process recipes.
  • Lead negotiations, manage agreements, conduct commercial analysis, and oversee supplier relationships.
  • Facilitate supplier solutions that enable products designed by Google's engineers.
  • Lead an organization responsible for establishing sourcing and supplier relationship management best practices for all commodity teams.
  • Drive adoption of sourcing and supplier relationship management practices through data-driven insights and scalable processes.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a Master of Business Administration.
  • Deep understanding and experience working in complex end-to-end plan, new product introduction, source, make, deliver, and product lifecycle management supply chains.
  • Ability to gain buy-in from internal Hardware Vice Presidents while serving as the primary contact for external foundry and outsourced semiconductor assembly and test chief executive officers.
  • Recognition as an industry thought leader with a strong network of industry relationships and the ability to execute change with a long-term perspective.
