About the Role:
The successful candidate will have a strong background driving growth through events.
Matterport is a fast-moving environment, so you must be flexible in your approach to work and not averse to change and ambiguity. The role requires responsibility for planning, executing and optimizing virtual and physical events to drive pipeline and adoption.
As this role is multi-dimensional, we expect the candidate to be self-motivated, hands-on and eager to develop themselves and the role within the growing worldwide marketing team. We expect the person we hire to be full of ideas and embrace challenges.
Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Global Demand Gen, this lead will partner with the growth, revenue and partner marketing leads to develop and execute pre and post event strategies and lead follow up to drive ROI from all event activities.
**For this role, we are only accepting candidates that reside in the Bay Area and are able to occasionally travel to our headquarters in Sunnyvale, CA.
What you will do:
- Build, drive and manage events campaigns (first-party, third-party, experiential)
- Develop & execute a virtual event strategy including but not limited to roundtables, partner events, and executive VIP experiences
- Analyze and optimize activity on a continual basis to meet or exceed business KPIs.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, external event agencies and provide recommendations to meet individual event needs
- Be responsible for weekly reporting and analysis to business stakeholders.
- Own and develop event strategy to maximize company exposure and sales leads
- Provide onsite event staff/support when needed
Who you are:
- 5-7+ years of experience in event management
- Experience in event execution and managing event agencies
- Thorough understanding of marketing automation and CRM systems (Salesforce.com and Marketo)
- Skilled in audience segmentation and accurate persona targeting
