  • Passion for sports, entertainment, gaming, music, or celebrity & lifestyle culture
  • Strong understanding of U.S. Multicultural markets and experience with hands-on event management
  • 4-6 years of related experience
  • Knowledge of motorsports is a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in document writing and ability to balance multiple tasks
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to work on strict timelines and budgets
  • Strong influencing and social skills to work effectively with clients, team members, and partners
  • Understanding of business process and impact of marketing and events on brand objectives
  • Ability to maintain relationships with key vendors and partners
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel and work on weekends/holidays as needed
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and solve problems independently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software
  • Proof of COVID vaccination required or eligibility for an exemption
Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute event and experiential marketing programs
  • Work closely with leaders of the account team to support the overall development and activation of multicultural events
  • Lead aspects of large festival and at-track hospitality events targeting African American and LatinX consumers
  • Manage execution of various event elements, including planning, set up, tear down, and recapping
  • Handle experiential production assets for all events, including mobile trailer, signage, entertainment, audio/visual elements, and other consumer interactive elements
  • Work with partners and vendors to implement client events and promotions
  • Handle vendor agreements and delivery of products and services for event activation
  • Source event permits and insurance needs from local municipalities and vendors
  • Lead regular ongoing communication and updates to clients and property partners
  • Manage, track, and reconcile all event budgets
  • Plan and execute on-site activities for consumer-brand engagement, event hospitality, signage/branding, guest premiums, and consumer experiences
  • Manage on-site logistics and operations, talent and artists, and all vendors associated with executing the overall projects/events
  • Develop consumer activation plans and recaps
  • Manage master event run of show, including logistical coordination, inventory management, and oversight of Brand Ambassadors
  • Liaise with internal Octagon teams, key client departments, and client partners for related programming elements
  • Provide monthly reconciliation of program expenses and budget updates for the client
