- At least 2 years of maintenance experience is required, with multifamily experience preferred.
- Intermediate-level skills across multiple trades, including electrical, plumbing, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, are required.
- Working knowledge of appliances is required.
- A high school diploma or General Educational Development credential is required.
- The employee must be available for nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- The employee must be able to sit, stand, walk, climb, bend, kneel, reach, use their hands and arms, lift 50 pounds independently, respond to visual and auditory alarms, work indoors and outdoors in varied weather conditions, use a personal computer for administrative tasks, and use mobile devices in the field.
- Complete service requests and make-ready turns independently.
- Diagnose and repair intermediate heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, plumbing, electrical, and appliance issues.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and building inspections.
- Participate in move-in and move-out inspections.
- Maintain inventory and shop organization.
- Respond to on-call and emergency service requests.
- Operate tools and diagnostic equipment safely and follow chemical safety procedures.
- Maintain a personal tool inventory.
- Complete required safety and compliance training.
- Complete full make-ready turns independently.
- Use work-order systems and basic computer and mobile technology.
- Support and guide Technician I team members when needed.
- Participate in team functions and regional or company activities as expected.
- Multifamily maintenance experience is preferred.
- Universal Environmental Protection Agency certification is preferred.
- Certified Pool Operator certification is preferred where applicable.
- Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning certification is preferred.
