Your Impact:
As Training Logistics Specialist - VR you will own and deliver operational logistics for Axon’s Virtual Reality products into Master Instructor and Instructor Certification Courses in the United States, Canada and LATAM. This role will be fully focused on maintaining Training’s Virtual Reality (VR) equipment, shipping, & RMA for Axon Training VR equipment across 700-900 courses annually.
Ownership:
- This position is responsible for supporting the Virtually Reality training materials for Axon Training sponsored certification courses and programs. Specifically focusing on supporting VR equipment for certification courses and major events.
- Perform inventory movements physically and systematically within the designated storage and shipping facilities.
- Inbound processing of returned materials.
- Perform firmware and software updates to VR equipment.
- Inspect and perform functional tests on VR equipment prior to shipment and upon return.
- Collaborate with the Axon Training Team, internal Axon Organization cohorts, as well as external customers to streamline and automate the logistical VR requirements for all customer facing events.
- These process improvements will increase workload efficiencies, reduce costs, and increase profitability.
- Assist in maintaining Axon Training inventory and materials at designated storage and shipping facilities.
- Assist in shipping and receiving of Training materials, both domestically and internationally.
Act as Subject Matter Expert:
Be an expert in Axon’s products and services; effectively deliver in-person training and product demonstrations to our customers, potential customers, and our distributors.
- Join Forces with Axon product Leads to maintain expertise and proficiency on new technologies and products
- Share this knowledge and ensure a proper handoff is conducted with the Axon Training Staff and Instructor Cadre.
Your Day-to-Day:
As Training Logistics Specialist, VR, you will:
- Lead all VR logistical efforts before and after each event to ensure our customers receive a world-class training experience.
- Join forces with internal Axon teams to ensure each event is planned, executed, and resourced flawlessly.
- Be responsible for ensuring that VR equipment is maintained and delivered for all Axon Training Schools and certification courses.
- Support the implementation of new and emerging Axon product technologies for customers to experience during Axon training events.
- Own the shipping/logistics of VR product for TASER Instructor Certification Courses, Master Instructor Schools.
- Identify needs for maintaining Axon Training VR equipment inventory to support our 700+ annual training events.
- Develop product requisition requests for each large scale customer facing training event.
- Place all associated and required product order inputs and tasks in D365.
- Monitor and intervene when necessary during the Axon Training product RMA process from order to delivery.
Basic Qualifications
- BA/BS or equivalent work experience
- Experience and interest in learning new/emerging educational technology (VR/AR, mobile-based learning, online learning platforms, etc.)
- Scope of Problems to Solve:
- Timelines: Identifies risks to defined timelines and partners with people manager to deliver.
- Preparation: Stays current on the latest product features and benefits to appropriately train customers.
- Goal setting: Delivers against assigned functional and individual M&Ms.
- Communication and Influence:
- Vision: Understands team’s vision and can answer questions from cross-functional stakeholders.
- Alignment: Clarifies their understanding of deliverables, priorities, and timelines for assignments within their team. Proactively communicates and ensures alignment with stakeholders outside the Training team.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Presence: Exceptional presentation skills that facilitate and enhance on-premises learning and drive adoption through product demonstrations.
- Technical Depth and Creativity: MS Office Technology: Proficient in Microsoft office suite; D365 is required for successful completion of assigned tasks.

The Pay: Axon is a total compensation company, meaning compensation is made up of base pay, bonus, and stock awards. The starting base pay for this role is between USD 51,000 in the lowest geographic market and USD 99,000 in the highest geographic market. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all these factors.
