- A master's degree in social work or a master's degree in a social services field with certification or licensure in the area of specialization, such as Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Professional Art Therapist.
- Four to six years of direct clinical experience, including four years of post-master's clinical experience.
- Supervise the activities of assigned staff, including scheduling assignments, providing case consultation and review, maintaining organizational and accreditation standards, and conducting job performance reviews.
- Perform clinical services including group and individual therapy, family and marital therapy, expressive therapy, crisis intervention and management, psychodrama, and problem solving.
- Maintain and complete service documentation such as psychosocial assessments, case notes, case reviews, court reports, and letters according to prescribed standards.
- Conduct case reviews and determine current and future treatment and treatment planning, including after-care plans for clients completing treatment, based on quantitative results and professional opinion of client progress.
- Consult and collaborate with external agents including school officials, family members, physicians, and other health agencies regarding the organization's programs and clients' needs and conditions.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings, treatment planning meetings, case conferences, and clinical seminars, providing information relating to program administration and development.
- Write correspondence on behalf of clients and their families, such as court reports and letters of recommendation.
- Conduct case presentations and consultations with other agencies regarding programs and services offered.
- Formulate clinical diagnoses for both mental health and substance abuse.
- Formulate clinical treatment plans for interventions.
- Conduct emergency evaluations of high-risk clients to determine the indicated level of treatment and arrange for hospitalization as needed.
- Develop and coordinate clinical programs within the division.
- Previous supervisory experience.
