Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • The candidate must obtain CLEAN Certification from the Pennsylvania State Police; the timeframe will be discussed during the interview process.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Clery Act, Higher Education Opportunity Act, Higher Education Act, Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, Occupational Safety and Health Administration requirements, Pennsylvania Act 104 reporting obligations, Pennsylvania Uniform Crime Reporting Act reporting obligations, and Title IX guidelines is strongly desired.
  • The candidate must demonstrate attention to detail, customer service ability, cooperative work with faculty, staff, students, and federal or state agencies, verbal and written communication skills, ability to work in a diverse environment, and strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and database inquiry.
  • Successful completion of standard and fingerprint background checks is required.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with university-wide compliance oversight for the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act.
  • Collect data and coordinate publication and distribution of required Annual Security Reports and Annual Fire Safety Reports for the University's campuses across Pennsylvania.
  • Develop and deliver training and monitor programs to ensure compliance.
  • Develop and revise compliance-related policies.
  • Conduct audits in response to reports of non-compliance.
  • Develop reports and summarize investigation findings for the Clery Compliance Interdisciplinary Team, administration, federal agencies, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide periodic updates, guidance, and recommendations to federal and state representatives, the University President, Board of Trustees, Provost, and senior administrators.
  • Respond to inquiries and recommendations from the United States Department of Education, Pennsylvania Auditor General, and University Internal Audit.
  • Coordinate compliance processes and procedures at the Commonwealth Campuses.
  • Travel periodically as required for the role.
