Swank integrates premium on-demand entertainment into Epic MyChart Bedside TV for hospitals

Swank Patient Entertainment has integrated its on-demand streaming service into Epic's MyChart Bedside TV, bringing films, television shows, and relaxation content directly to hospital in-room televisions. The service, already available on bedside tablets and personal devices, now extends to TV screens where patients manage their care. The platform delivers entertainment within MyChart Bedside without requiring separate apps, streaming accounts, or passwords. Advocate Health reported exceeding its 30% bedside utilisation goal with over 50% usage after implementing the service. The cloud-based system eliminates the need for on-site entertainment servers. Swank Patient Entertainment offers hospitals a curated, ad-free selection of content for paediatric, teen, and adult patients. The service is available now for health systems planning bedside technology deployments.
