This position will require some on-site working at our data center in Hillsboro, Oregon.

Hiring for this role is limited to US Citizens only under various Federal laws and regulations.

What You Will Do:

• Participate in designing and building out of the data center environment
• Perform racking, stacking, and cabling of networking, server, storage, and other custom equipment
• Participate in building and managing VMware clusters, Windows, Linux, and MacOS VMs
• Perform firmware and OS upgrades on all devices
• Support networking equipment, including firewalls, routers, switches
• Work with hardware and software vendors on opening support requests, following through to closure
• Work with data center provider on scheduling hardware shipping and receiving, hardware repairs and/or parts replacement
• Support engineering teams with their lab configuration requirements
• Follow change management process when performing business-impacting changes
• Live within 30 minutes of drivable distance of the facility
• Actively participate in the On-Call Program

What Skills You’ll Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT-related field OR equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of experience in managing a data center environment
• 5+ years of experience in server hardware sizing, hypervisor technologies (preferably VMware), and cross-platform integrations (i.e. heterogeneous hardware and operating system support)
• Strong systems engineering experience with Linux and Windows Server operating systems
• Good experience in deploying and configuring network devices such as switches and firewalls
• Strong TCP/IP foundational knowledge and experience in managing complex LAN networking
• Advanced skills in scripting / programming in Bash, Python, etc. is a plus
• Advanced troubleshooting skills in infrastructure devices and application areas
• Working knowledge with AWS / GCP cloud services is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-starter and a team player
• Ability to multitask and manage priorities 
• Ability to interact with senior leadership and provide executive support
• Strong desire to learn and implement new technologies
