A Little About Us
This role will be part of a high-performing Global Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Culture (DEIC) team supporting DEIC programs, activations and events. It will fall under the social impact and engagement team.
A Lot About You
The ideal candidate will be agile on the ground, adept at supporting our team from a logistics and admin perspective, and able to ideate diversity and inclusion solutions with partners across the business. A demonstrated impact in operational excellence is preferred, as is knowledge and interest in issues of global diversity and inclusivity, cultural competence, and corporate social responsibility.
Responsibilities
Help organize surprise & delight opportunities in global office locations
Help track budget spending for social impact initiatives
Propose regular suggestions for charitable donation opportunities and volunteer events
Mine story content for ongoing employee volunteerism/giving back spotlights
Support the social impact team with preparations for our global volunteer event, Yahoo for Good Day
Contribute to a timeline of civic events specific to Yahoo markets for our voter access campaign
Promote a social impact toolkit for use with internal groups
Ad Hoc events for employee engagement
Create a timeline for social content and add to a repository for posts
Required Experience
Actively enrolled in Bachelor’s, Masters or PhD program and have a strong record of academic achievement
Able to complete an 8-12 week internship starting in June 2025
Highly detail-oriented with the ability to use creative problem solving
Passionate about social impact and have demonstrated professional drive
Preferred
NYC based is a plus but not required

The compensation for this position ranges from $24-$52/hr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. Yahoo provides industry leading benefits for our interns including 401k plan, company holidays, and Summer Fridays. Eligibility requirements apply.
Yahoo has a high degree of flexibility around employee location and hybrid working. In fact, our flexible-hybrid approach to work is one of the things our employees rave about.
