Requirements
  • A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of academic or industry experience in developing localization and mapping systems.
  • C++, Python & ROS2 proficiency
  • Proficiency in state estimation techniques -- EKF, UKF, Particle Filters, Lidar Odometry, GraphSLAM.
  • A PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field (preferred).
  • Familiarity with open-source localization work -- LIO-SAM, ORB-SLAM, Cartographer, Slam tool box, FUSE, LOAM (preferred).
Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, optimize, and maintain localization and mapping systems for autonomous vehicles.
  • Research and integrate novel localization techniques and sensor modalities for challenging environments, including GNSS-denied areas.
  • Build tools and metrics to evaluate and debug the localization system.
  • Develop and maintain calibration systems for sensor extrinsics.
