Requirements
  • Advanced or Master's CASAC or other Non-CASAC Qualified Health Professional status.
  • Bachelor's degree in a social sciences, mental health, or human relations field conferred by a college or university whose course concentration is acceptable by the state education department.
  • A minimum of three years of full-time experience in administration, program development, and supervision of substance abuse and mental health programs.
  • A valid New York State driver's license and reliable transportation.
Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day administrative and operational oversight of the Step Toward Success program.
  • Assist the Director of Housing with oversight of HUD-funded and supportive housing programs as assigned.
  • Provide supervision, coaching, and consultation while monitoring services received by all residents in the Step Toward Success program.
  • Conduct staff meetings, case conferences, and individual supervision as assigned.
  • Review evaluations, admissions, treatment plans, resident chart maintenance, continuing stays, case conferences, and discharges for compliance with agency policies, contracts, and regulations.
  • Maintain on-call status for consultation and emergencies.
  • Keep up to date with regulatory or policy changes that impact program activities, goals, objectives, and outcomes.
  • Assist staff with developing educational activities, groups, recreational, social, and other programming essential to enhancing resident self-sufficiency.
  • Support HUD, OASAS, grant, and additional regulatory compliance activities, including documentation standards and audit preparation.
  • Assist with monitoring program performance, utilization, outcomes, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and community partners to coordinate resident services and housing stability.
  • Conduct weekly staff meetings and case conferences.
  • Assist in responding to resident concerns, incidents, crises, and emergency situations.
  • Maintain current knowledge of HUD, Medicaid, OMH, OASAS, and other applicable regulations affecting housing operations.
  • Serve on agency committees as requested.
  • Carry out additional duties essential to the stated responsibilities as assigned.
  • Integrate Trauma-Informed Care and its five principles in duties and interactions with staff, residents, and external partners.
  • Maintain compliance with Federal Confidentiality (42 CFR, Part 2), HIPAA, Medicaid, HUD, and other applicable rules and regulations.
  • Maintain regular attendance at the work location.
