Requirements
  • Strong background in Material/Biomaterial science and experiences in design, analysis, fabrication and characterization of new material samples.
  • Ability to work in bioengineering, microfluidics, and material science.
  • Completed or expected to complete a bachelor's degree with honours equivalent to first class honours or a Masters degree (AQF Level 9) incorporating a significant research component, or an equivalent level of attainment as determined by Griffith University HDR Scholarship Procedure.
  • Eligibility requirements for international applicants including English language proficiency: IELTS Academic overall minimum 6.5 with no band below 6.0, or TOEFL paper-based total 575 with TWE 5.0, or TOEFL iBT total 79 with no sub-score below 19.
  • Expressions of interest welcome from domestic and international applicants.
Responsibilities
  • Design and develop functional biopolymers that target the mucosa and are amendable toward electrohydrodynamic atomisation for nasal drug and antigen delivery.
  • Enhance the efficacy of biopolymer micro/nanoparticles through precise control of particle size and charge.
  • Engage in design of functional polymer particles, generation of cell factories as production strains, bioprocess development and characterization of nanomaterials before and after the nebulising process.
