Summary:
The QA Engineer I is responsible for testing and ensuring software quality at various stages of development. They will design and execute test plans, develop and maintain automation scripts, identify and document defects, work with cross-functional teams to maintain software quality, and provide feedback to developers on ways to improve the software. The QA Engineer I is also responsible for staying informed about new testing tools and methodologies, as well as industry trends. They may perform manual and automated testing, as well as API, performance, and database testing.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Execute detailed test plans and test cases, focusing on both manual and automated testing.
Participate in API testing using tools like Postman to ensure API reliability and performance.
Manage and execute test cases using Zephyr, integrating testing tools with JIRA for efficient defect tracking.
Assist in the development and maintenance of automation frameworks, utilizing tools such as Selenium or TestNG.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain software quality throughout the development lifecycle.
Contribute to setting up roadmaps for automations and optimizing testing processes.
Design test plans for integrated services to enhance quality with optimized delivery timelines.
Identify and document defects, collaborating with developers for timely resolutions.
Stay informed about new testing tools, methodologies, and industry trends.
Familiarity with MongoDB for database testing and validation.
Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
1-3 years of experience in QA, with a focus on manual and automated testing.
Familiarity with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, TestNG) and test case management tools like Zephyr.
Basic understanding of API testing, particularly with Postman.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
