As Senior Software Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in advancing our Knowledge Graph Systems, enhancing data connectivity and discovery. Our team is at the forefront of impactful projects that drive eBay's success by leveraging cutting-edge technology and fostering a unique, inclusive culture. You will report to the Engineering Manager and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and intelligent solutions.
 

What You Will Accomplish:

• Drive the development of high-performance knowledge graph systems that enhance data insights and connectivity.

• Optimize graph-based data structures to improve efficiency and intelligence, contributing directly to eBay's strategic goals.

• Integrate diverse data sources to create a seamless flow of information across the organization.

• Design APIs and services that empower other teams to leverage knowledge graph capabilities, fostering cross-functional collaboration.

• Collaborate with data scientists and machine learning engineers to apply advanced techniques for enriching graph-based reasoning.

• Ensure the scalability, security, and integrity of the knowledge graph, supporting eBay's growth and innovation.

What You Will Bring:

• Expertise in software engineering with proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala.

• Experience with big data processing frameworks such as Spark, Hadoop, or Flink.

• Strong understanding of distributed systems and scalable cloud architectures.

• Hands-on experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases, including graph databases like Neo4j or AWS Neptune.

• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.

• Openness to alternative skills and credentials that demonstrate innovation and problem-solving capabilities.
