Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in logistics; railway logistics experience is an asset.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in French and English.
  • Ability to work with Microsoft Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize, plan, assign, and control work.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with others.
  • Postsecondary studies; studies in business management, transportation, or logistics are preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Authorize wagon releases according to group rules and monitor authorized quantities to prevent excessive shipments.
  • Ensure wagons contain the correct merchandise and are sent to the correct site.
  • Reroute wagons when necessary and create new routes for new destinations.
  • Track monthly purchase orders and maintain operational files.
  • Monitor wagon flows to avoid asset-use charges and ensure efficient cycles.
  • Produce and send daily reports on the availability of empty wagons that can be ordered or returned in the assigned area.
  • Respond to internal customer requests and provide timely operational support.
  • Collaborate closely with yard personnel to support daily operations and meet shipping deadlines.
