Requirements
  • High School Diploma required; bachelor’s degree or some college in pursuit of same is preferred.
  • 1-2 years previous experience in a management or supervisory role.
  • 3-5 years prior experience in the transportation industry.
  • Solid knowledge of government regulations within the trucking industry.
  • Strong time management and coordination skills, verbal and written communication skills, and critical thinking/problem resolution ability.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and direct staff and activities related to dispatching, routing, and tracking transportation vehicles.
  • Management of function and/or facility to meet budget and business objectives
  • Direct investigations to verify and resolve customer or shipper issues.
  • Collaborate with other managers and staff members to formulate and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives.
  • Monitor operations to ensure that staff members comply with government regulations, administrative policies and procedures, safety rules, and Lean program.
  • Promote safe work activities by conducting safety audits, attending company safety meetings, and meeting with individual staff members.
  • Maintain CTPAT, ISO and TISAX certifications.
  • This is a position that works directly around motor vehicle equipment.
