Requirements
  • At least one year of experience in Department of Defense or commercial services logistics, supply, and physical material inventory procedures.
  • Good physical condition and ability to occasionally travel.
  • A valid state-issued vehicle operator’s license.
  • Ability to qualify for and obtain a military installation access pass.
  • Ability to obtain a favorable National Security Agency Check, including an FBI fingerprint check.
  • Ability to frequently lift or move parts up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift or move parts up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl for the majority of working hours.
  • Ability to climb or scale ladders and manlifts.
  • Ability to frequently bend, stretch, twist, or reach.
  • Ability to frequently use arms, hands, and fingers to grasp, move, package, and count very small objects.
  • Ability to occasionally carry items up to 20 pounds for up to 100 feet.
  • Ability to perform the physical tasks on a naval vessel or in a warehouse that may not be environmentally controlled.
Responsibilities
  • Support the on-loading and off-loading of material from naval assets, including material identification, removal or replacement, and transportation.
  • Perform physical inventories in accordance with client policy.
  • Coordinate material to organize and position assets in accordance with client policy and operational requirements.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Operate material handling equipment.
  • Keep the project leadership team informed of issues that could affect contract deliverables or the client mission.
  • Ensure compliance with company quality standards and on-the-job safety requirements.
  • Work during first or second shift as determined by operational and client requirements.
Desired Qualifications
  • A material handling equipment license, with a current Medical Examiner’s Certificate or proof of a current medical examination document on the license.
  • Experience with the Navy supply system.
  • Experience identifying material part numbers for Navy stock.
  • Knowledge of number equivalence and material condition codes.
  • An active Secret clearance or current Common Access Card.
  • A valid passport for possible international travel.
