Requirements
  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Must have six years of progressively responsible experience in business operations or project management, preferably in a healthcare organization.
  • Must score 80% or better on an Excel and Word test given.
  • Must be highly organized, with a high level of attention to detail, able to demonstrate both analytical and statistical skills.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work effectively as part of a team, and on an independent basis, demonstrating initiative in problem-solving.
  • Must have experience using databases and data review/analysis.
  • Must be able to distill and present information effectively.
  • Must possess good oral and written communication skills, strong tact and diplomacy skills, and the ability to communicate with all levels of employees including executive management and physicians.
  • Must have proven time management skills, able to manage and appropriately prioritize multiple, simultaneous time-sensitive projects to successful completion, including meeting strict reporting, filing, and licensing deadlines.
  • Must be able to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to changing workloads, utilizing creativity and persistence in attaining desired outcomes.
  • Must be extremely proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), and very competent with Visio and SharePoint.
Responsibilities
  • Matter Manager for Legal Affairs, including establishing all matters in the matter management system, assigning tasks, and ensuring legal holds are issued/released in a timely fashion; reporting on performance against key metrics; and create and program billing guidelines.
  • Leads departmental projects, including determining objectives, project plans and timelines, and working collaboratively with department colleagues. Identifies project objectives, appropriate stakeholders and their interests, and steps to achieve objectives.
  • Assists in developing and implementing new and improved processes and systems with the Legal department, which enhance efficiency.
  • Resolves moderate to complex issues and makes appropriate decisions regarding escalation.
  • Fulfills department requests for data collection and reporting; monitors and reports on departmental KPIs, including performance against budget.
  • Manages assigned departmental software application(s), responds to requests for data, trains all new internal and external uses, provides technical support, and acts as the departmental liaison to the software vendors.
