As a former military or civilian Congressional Affairs Contact Officer (CACO), you’ll bring your experience and understanding of how the Army runs to support Congressional Affairs activities. You’ll use your skills and expertise to perform the full range of congressional liaison work, including controlling, analyzing, researching, and formulating official responses to written and telephonic requests from Members of Congress and staffs, and Congressional Committees.

You Have:
- 3+ years of experience as a military or civilian staff or action officer on the Army Staff or OSD Staff
- 2+ years of experience as a military or civilian CACO at a Headquarters, the Department of the Army, or a 4-star Army Command
- Experience with management of congressionally mandated reports
- Experience orchestrating or coordinating congressional engagements, including preparing senior leaders or briefers, synchronizing talking points, and messaging
- Knowledge of Army Staff and Secretariat organizations, and Congressional actions staffing processes
- Knowledge of laws, regulations, and directives and their application to assist in the formulation of official responses to Congress
- Ability to perform the full range of Congressional liaison work for the Deputy Chief of Staff, including controlling, analyzing, researching, and formulating official responses to written and telephonic requests from Members of Congress and staffs, and Congressional Committees
- Ability to track Congressional reporting requirements and provide feedback to staff until the requirement is satisfied
- TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor’s degree
Nice If You Have:
- Experience formulating responses and management of congressionally mandated reports
- Experience as a staff officer
- Ability to monitor Congressional Hearings schedules regarding Army or DoD Witnesses
- Ability to read, review, and analyze a variety of legislative reference and information materials, including Congressional Records, Senate and House publications, web-based resources, or periodicals, to identify items of importance as they pertain to Army programs and objectives
- Master’s degree in Public Policy
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
