Responsibilities
  • Designing our data platform from data ingestion and validation to transport, storage, and exposure to consumers.
  • Collaborating with other data engineering teams focused on delivering analytics services, sharing technical knowledge and defining best practices, and guiding them in the configuration of core systems such as data warehousing and orchestration.
  • Working hand in hand with machine learning engineers to design and scale automation and intelligence features into the Pennylane application.
  • Partnering with software engineers to ensure data quality and integrity, acting as a role model to establish data as a core part of our production systems.
  • Driving optimizations on core components to maintain an effective balance between scalability and costs.
  • Shaping an engineering culture with high standards in the data team by defining best practices, architecture patterns and security measures.

Pennylane is a financial and accounting platform for SMBs and their accountants that centralizes all financial data in real time. It lets managers manage invoicing, payments, cash flow, and reporting while giving accountants a single production tool. The service is subscription-based and designed to be used by both the company and its external accountant, with real-time visibility and a single source of truth. It targets France and Europe, offering features like sales/purchase management, cash flow forecasting, dashboards, and is a certified Partner Dematerialization Platform (PDP) for upcoming e-invoicing rules.
