GENERAL STATEMENT OF THE FUNCTION

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
An Associate or Associate of Applied Science, with a major in Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA); OR a Master’s or Doctorate, with a major in Physical Therapy (PT); an active, unrestricted PTA or PT license/certification in any US jurisdiction, and is in compliance with the state practice act in the jurisdiction where the program is located;
Three (3) years of full-time post-licensure clinical experience in physical therapy practice as a PTA or PT within the last five (5) years.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, include the following.
Maintain current certification and licensure as a PTA or PT;
Participation in didactic, laboratory and/or clinical instruction to include instruction, assessment and evaluation;
Support the program director to assure effective program operations;
Maintain current knowledge of the professional discipline and educational methodologies through continuing professional development;
Maintaining current knowledge of program policies, procedures, and student progress.
Evaluation of student achievement;
Participate in the MCCB revision of curriculum to include CAPTE requirements;
Assist with assessment of program outcomes
Assist with maintaining CAPTE accreditation standards of the program;
Other duties may be assigned;
