Requirements
  • B.S. or higher degree in Electrical, Aerospace, Automotive, or Robotics Engineering
  • Familiarity with ISO 26262 or other safety standards
  • 3+ years of work experience with board design, silicon validation or board-bringup
  • Familiarity with schematic design tools(Altium/Mentor Graphics/Cadence)
  • Collaborative team player with strong written and in-person communication skills
  • Certification in ISO 26262 (CFSE,CFSP)
  • Familiarity with Requirement traceability tools such as Polarion, JAMA
  • Hardware validation & board bring-up experience within standards such as: ISO-26262, DO-178C, DO-254, IEC 61508
Responsibilities
  • Perform circuit failure analysis in identifying components affecting safety-critical functions.
  • Work with system engineers to design test benches to execute Hardware In the Loop, fault injection tests to validate functional safety models.
  • Detailed analysis of Safety manuals provided by Vendors for complex SOC’s microprocessors.
  • Lead and participate in quantitative and qualitative functional safety activities that lead to the development of Failure Mode Effects & Diagnostic Analysis.
  • Fault Tree Analysis.
  • Develop requirements for safety-critical Hardware to perform Fault injection Testing to comply with ISO 26262:2018.
  • Work closely with the Test Team and Test Infrastructure team to help guide the V&V efforts and improve diagnostics verification.
  • Develop new requirements to improve diagnostic coverage of the HW working closely with EE & FW teams.
  • Performing Qualitative & Quantitative Risk Analysis.
