Every intern will be paired with a senior member of our staff who will provide guidance and mentorship for the duration of the internship. Interns are considered contributing members of our project teams and participate in project meetings. So join us for a minimum length of six months. Start and end times can vary by role and are negotiable. Please check with your recruiter to discuss precise start and end dates accordingly. 

Please note that the assigned workplace will be Munich for the time being. However, exceptions on case by case assessment are possible. In case COVID19 restrictions prevent us from hosting you onsite, internships will be conducted remotely. Nevertheless, due to tax purposes it is required to be based and registered in Germany during the employment. Any changes will be communicated to successful candidates in advance of their start date.

Meet the team:

The Data Science team is providing data exploration and analysis for the entire organization including Hardware, Software, Operations, Management, and Support teams. We analyze data needed to provide actionable insights, draw conclusions from the data and support data driven decision making at Argo AI. We are hiring interns to help the team to curate meaningful insights from data. This role will provide the opportunity to learn about, interact with, and add significant value to every part of our company supporting our goal of building safe and efficient self-driving vehicles.

What you’ll do: 

• Collaborate within the team to define and satisfy data analysis requirements
• Leverage BI tools, SQL, and Python to deliver meaningful metrics, reports, and data visualizations
• Work with big data platforms to develop queries, write reports, and build visualizations
• Work with modern cloud, big data, and analytics technologies
• Write Python code to generate and prepare data for analytics

What you'll need to succeed:

• Pursuing degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (must be enrolled in a full-time degree program at the time of the internship) 
• Passion for working with data
• Excellent programming skills in SQL and NoSQL database technologies
• Experience working with Data Visualization tools like Looker, Qlik, or Tableau
• Experience working with Data Warehouses like Redshift, BigQuery, or Snowflake
• Analyzing data with Python (or R)
