Requirements
- Five years of progressive experience supervising staff, construction, utilities, and building and maintenance of equipment.
- Three years of verifiable experience with forecasting, cost analysis, departmental budgeting, and vendor management or contracts.
- Three years of verifiable experience managing a Computerized Maintenance Management System, including oversight of reports, staffing, work-order productivity, and preventive-maintenance completion.
- Three years of verifiable experience overseeing testing to meet The Joint Commission requirements.
- All verifiable experience must have been gained within the last five years.
- A current California driver's license is required, with a renewed copy submitted upon renewal.
- The candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Report check at hire and annually thereafter.
Responsibilities
- Support the Director of Facilities Management in all aspects of the physical plant and buildings within the hospital and medical center.
- Organize and direct a comprehensive program to maintain the integrity of the physical plant and the safety of its occupants.
- Manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Provide frontline oversight of Maintenance, Engineering, Biomedical Services, Grounds, Security, Safety, telecommunications vendors, Construction, hazardous-material and waste management, and Emergency Management.
- Work varying hours as needed to meet facility needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
