Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two years of project management experience to include one year of experience in training adults; may include on-the-job training.
  • Must have a valid motor vehicle operator’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
  • At least one of the following: Texas Class "B" Water license (or higher) or Texas Class "B" Wastewater license (or higher).
  • Must have a valid passport or ability to obtain within 180 days of employment.
  • 60 hours of classroom instructional experience OR Completion of approved Instructor training courses in: 1. Methods of Teaching OR Effective Instructional Techniques AND 2. Instructional Design and Evaluation OR Organizational and Use of Training Materials OR the ability to attain within 6 months of employment.
  • Equivalency: Will consider an Associate’s degree with four years of project management experience OR a High School Diploma/GED with six years of project management experience. Must also meet TCEQ Sponsor Requirements and one year of experience in training adults (including on-the-job training).
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate training schedules and deliveries and work with the various points of contact at host agencies.
  • May approve travel of instructors and market training courses and technical assistance to communities throughout the state.
  • Rely heavily on data research tools to optimize training deliveries, improve program performance, and establish and monitor performance metrics for the various areas of the program.
  • Help to recruit instructors and monitor instructor performance.
  • Responsible for courses delivered under the Water Training Program.
  • May assist in the curriculum development process.
  • This position reports to the Agency Training Manager.
