In this role within Strategic Finance Technology and Data team, the Senior Data Analyst will work with financial and operational data to create insightful reports and dashboards, enabling business decision-making and supporting our global strategy. You will take ownership of projects and work with team members to deliver solutions that meet the needs of internal functions and leadership of the Firm.

The Strategic Finance Senior Data Analyst is a full-time role reporting to the Strategic Finance Technology and Data Director and located in Southfield, MI. Paid relocation is not available.
- Translate business requirements into clear, accurate and actionable design/implementation plans.
- Create models, specifications, workflows and diagrams that contributes to the successful delivery of data analytics solutions and technology.
- Develop semantic models, analytical models, reports, dashboards and KPI scorecards using Power BI and other tools in alignment to business requirements.
- Collaborate with IT and other functions in the firm throughout the development lifecycle; enforcing best practices and refining requirements where necessary.
- Provide support of existing solutions and services provided by the Strategic Finance Data and Technology team.
- Test and validate deliverables for completeness and data accuracy
- Investigate and troubleshoot issues. Collaborate with business functions and team members to determine root cause and propose appropriate functional solutions.

What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Data Science, Statistics or related field preferred but may consider relevant work experience in lieu of education.
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience designing and developing dashboards and reports; minimum two (2) years using Power BI.
- Experience in Power BI, including data modeling, DAX (Data Analysis Expressions), and M Query; certification in Power BI is preferred.
- Solid understanding of security models in Power BI and the ability to implement row level restrictions.
- Demonstrated proficiency with relational and non-relational databases. Experience with SQL scripting is a must. Experience with R and Python is preferred.
- Prior experience with financial or operational data analysis in a consulting or professional services firm is preferred.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet delivery commitments while maintaining accuracy.
- Exceptional customer service skills, including the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of customers.
- Solid understanding and proven experience in requirements definition and management techniques including business process, use case, workflow, and data modelling.
- Proven analytical thinking for translating data into informative visuals and reports
- An appetite for continuous learning and development.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Core working hours are generally 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday - Friday; willingness to work outside of normal U.S. business hours, and as unique projects/needs arise.
- Ability to work full time in an office and remote environment; physically able to sit/stand at a computer and work in front of a computer screen for significant portions of the workday.
