Who are we looking for?

Our Northeast Engineering Design Organization has an opportunity for a Senior Civil Engineer to join their team! This role will provide you the opportunity to participate in the planning, design and construction engineering of exciting and diverse water, wastewater, utilities, infrastructure, and site-development projects for our wide range of municipal and private clients with a key focus on linear infrastructure and contribute to the growth in an emerging geographic market.

While this position is based in the US Northeast region, you will have the flexibility to focus on the local market and/or become engaged in major projects worldwide supporting design operations from Australia to Europe working with diverse design teams from across the globe. GHDs linear infrastructure expertise continues to grow and gain recognition across North America as #15 firm in Trenchless Technology with growing momentum with great opportunities.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: 

• Assisting with the preparation of water and wastewater plans, technical reports, design drawings, contract documents, cost estimates and project permits
• Leading production of portions of design and construction projects
• Establishing client relationships and winning work
• Working on multi-disciplinary projects and helping to coordinate these efforts
• Assisting in developing conference abstracts and participating in technical conferences
• Provide mentorship and development advice to junior level staff

What you will bring to the team:

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering
• Current Professional Engineer (PE) license
• 7-15 years of linear focused project experience in water / wastewater / utility / infrastructure design / transmission main / industrial pipelines/ energy sector / industrial sites / grading plans / etc.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work both within a team and independently
• Modeling capabilities
• Willing and able to travel to project sites and client meetings as needed

Salary Range: $86,400 - $155,500 based on experience and location
